This paper is going to fucking kill me. I have never in my life felt like a worse writer. Legal writing sucks and it must die a horrible, painful, firey death. Can't concentrate on necessary work. Have written lots of other things instead. So, if I have a whole summer with nothing to do but sit around and feel sorry for myself I get hardly anything done but when I'm supposed to be busy and responsible I end up being productive but only on fannish-y stuff. Was feeling strangely tetchy and ornery. The only therapy I could think of was to write up this little bit of ... something that's been eating away at my brain for a while. It's part of a bigger story I may write in the next ... 20 years or so and is about change and loss and readjusting.
